The Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museum in Braunschweig, Germany, is one of the oldest public museums in Europe, with origins in the art collection of Duke Anton Ulrich of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, opened to the public in the early eighteenth century. Its holdings span European painting, prints and drawings, sculpture, and decorative arts.

Among its celebrated Old Master paintings is The Girl with a Wine Glass by Johannes Vermeer, alongside works by Rembrandt, Rubens, and other masters of the Dutch and Flemish schools.
