Van Gogh Museum

Amsterdam, Netherlands

The Van Gogh Museum is an art museum in Amsterdam dedicated to the work of Vincent van Gogh and his contemporaries. It opened in 1973 on the Museumplein, in a building designed by the De Stijl architect Gerrit Rietveld, later complemented by an exhibition wing by Kisho Kurokawa.

The museum holds the largest collection of Van Gogh's paintings and drawings in the world, drawn largely from the holdings kept by the artist's family, and is among the most visited museums in the Netherlands.
