Timken Museum of Art

San Diego, United States

The Timken Museum of Art is a small art museum in Balboa Park in San Diego, California. It opened in 1965 and houses the collection assembled by the Putnam sisters together with the Timken family, displayed in a modern building set among the park's historic structures.

Though modest in size, the museum is noted for the quality of its holdings, which include European old master paintings, American art, and a collection of Russian icons. It is sometimes described as San Diego's "jewel box" and offers free admission to the public.
