
Sakıp Sabancı Museum

The Sakıp Sabancı Museum is a private fine arts museum in the Emirgan district of Istanbul, overlooking the Bosphorus. It is operated by Sabancı University and is centred on the former Sabancı family villa known as the Atlı Köşk (the "Horse Mansion"). The museum opened to the public in 2002.
Its permanent collection is particularly strong in Ottoman calligraphy and religious and official manuscripts, alongside paintings, and it has become known for hosting major international temporary exhibitions of artists such as Picasso and Rodin.
