Palais des Champs-Élysées

Paris, France

The Palais des Champs-Élysées is the original name of the Grand Palais, the monumental glass-and-iron exhibition hall on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris. It was built for the Exposition Universelle of 1900 and has since served as a setting for large art exhibitions, salons and cultural events.

With its vast vaulted glass roof and Beaux-Arts stone facade, the building remains one of the most recognisable exhibition venues in Paris and continues to host major temporary shows rather than a permanent collection.
