Norton Simon Museum

Pasadena, United States

The Norton Simon Museum is an art museum in Pasadena, California, United States. It grew out of the Pasadena Art Museum, whose financially troubled institution was reorganized in the 1970s around the collection of the industrialist Norton Simon, after whom it was renamed. The building was later remodelled, with grounds and a sculpture garden redesigned in collaboration with landscape architect Nancy Goslee Power.

The museum is renowned for one of the finest private collections of European art assembled in the twentieth century, spanning Old Master paintings from the Renaissance and Baroque through Impressionist and modern works, alongside a notable collection of South and Southeast Asian sculpture.
