The National Gallery of Victoria, known as the NGV, is an art museum in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 1861, it is the oldest and one of the most visited art museums in the country.
The gallery is presented across two sites: NGV International on St Kilda Road, which houses its international collection, and the Ian Potter Centre at Federation Square, devoted to Australian art. Its collection spans European, Asian, Oceanic and Australian art across painting, sculpture, photography, fashion and decorative arts.
