Musée de la Chapelle de la Visitation
Monaco, Monaco
The Musée de la Chapelle de la Visitation occupies a former Baroque chapel in Monaco-Ville, the old town of the Principality of Monaco. The building once served a convent of the Order of the Visitation before being deconsecrated and converted to museum use.
Today it houses a collection of sacred art assembled by Barbara Piasecka Johnson, centred on Baroque religious paintings by Italian, Spanish and Flemish masters. The works are displayed in the chapel's intimate interior, which retains much of its original ecclesiastical character.
